Taylor Fletcher followed his older brother Bryan into the sport of ski jumping before the siblings made their way into Nordic combined (a sport that involves both ski jumping and cross-country skiing). While Bryan was recovering from an ankle injury, Taylor was selected to compete at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. The younger Fletcher brother finished 45th on the large hill at those Games.

In 2014, both Fletchers competed at the Sochi Olympics. Taylor’s best finishes were 20th on the large hill, 33rd on the normal hill, and sixth in the team event. The brothers admit that they had a healthy competition growing up and that rivalry continues to be motivating today.
