Pedersen had a breakout performance at the 2015 World Allround Championships where he claimed bronze; at the next year’s allround championships, Pedersen moved up a step and claimed a silver medal. He also picked up his first medals from the World Single Distance Championships in 2016 when he won 5000m bronze and team pursuit silver.
