  • Residence Silverthorne, CO
  • Height/Weight 5'4"/ 116 lbs

Born into a family of seven children – he's the second youngest – Red Gerard was on the slopes with his siblings at age 2. When the family moved to Colorado a few years later, they built a course in the backyard where Gerard was able to hone his skills on rails. He eventually began entering amateur contests, and after some solid podium finishes on the Revolution Tour, a top springboard for ams, Gerard moved up to pro contests in 2015.

At just 15 years old, he was already landing backside triple cork 1440s – one of the most difficult slopestyle tricks – at contests. The sky's the limit for this rising star, as Gerard's snowboarding prowess should only increase as his size does.

In February 2017, Gerard took a major step toward qualifying for the upcoming PyeongChang Olympics. The short shredder captured the win at the U.S. Grand Prix at Mammoth, the first of several Olympic qualifiers that will determine the U.S. slopestyle team.
