Justin Rose first swung a golf club before he was even a year old and started playing seriously when he was 5. Rose emerged on the world stage at 17 when he holed out a shot from the rough on the 18th hole to finished tied for fourth place at the 1998 Open Championship. Rose’s dramatic come-from-behind victory over Phil Mickelson at the 2013 U.S. Open remains his lone major championship – though he has recorded multiple top-five finishes. In another legendary battle against Mickelson, Rose earned a place in Ryder Cup lore after sinking three long putts to win his singles match, spurring Europe to a 2012 comeback over the United States.
