Biography
Daly came agonizingly close to earning a medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. He was just .04 of a second behind bronze-medal position after three of four runs at the Sochi Games, but on his final run, his sled came out of a groove in the ice and he ended up 15th. He decided to retire from skeleton a couple of months later to take a medical sales job, but in 2016, ended his two-year retirement and returned to the sport.
