  • Why this sport?
  • "Only one month after my birth, my older brother Daniel moved from Tromso to Trondheim to become a professional ski jumper. I think I almost felt like I was born into ski jumping because of him. At a really early stage I found it natural to think I should be a ski jumper, but I was growing up in the north of Norway where the facilities to become a professional don't exist. The support from my parents was crucial, because we needed to travel far and a lot. When I was barely 16 I moved from my parents' home to a small dorm room in Trondheim. I wanted to be in the national team like my brother. Ski jumping has always been my way of life."
